Welcome
to Chico, Ca. home of CSUC, where students come
from all over the world to attend this highly acclaimed college.
When you arrive in Chico you will discover a variety of shops,
restaurants, novelty stores, galleries, and much more. As you
stroll the streets of down town and the College Campus you can't
help but notice the murals of historic moments showing off local
artist fine work. One of the murals highlights the well known
"Adventures of Robin Hood", which was filmed here
in Chico.

Mansion
You can take a tour of the Bidwell
Mansion Mon-Fri, 12-5 and Sat.- Sun.

Chico
National Yo Yo Museum
The National Yo Yo Museum
is located in the heart of Chico at 320 Broadway. The museum
is open Monday - Saturday 10am -6pm.
Sundays 12pm - 5pm. The museum is home to the worlds largest
working wooden yo-yo. The yo-yo weighs in at a whopping 256
lbs. The yo-yo was designed by Tom Kuhn a resident of Chico.

Night Life
Come experience a taste
of Chico! Get ready to have an exciting night out on the town
and visit the local bars and hangouts of downtown Chico. Some
of the popular hot spots with bands, good food, and great fun
are as follows: Chico Brick

Main, Sierra

Graduate, and lots of other popular hole in the walls which
you can find as you stroll Main and Broadway of downtown.

If fishing is more
your style then you'll enjoy the catch and the view. Continuing
up Pentz Rd., you will finally discover Paradise. This quaint
little town is filled with antique shops, restaurants and friendly
folks. There is so much to see and do throughout Chico and the
entire area. The only thing lacking is enough time to take it
all in.
Vista
Look-out
While visiting the area,
be sure to take a drive along the look-out located
between Chico and Paradise. This popular spot has inspired many
and is a powerful work of nature. Massive rock and mountain
ranges line the giant canyon. Honey Run Rd. lies at the base
with the feather river providing months of water fun activities
for the young and young at heart. While touring take the Honey
Run Rd. turn just as you enter Chico from Paradise. The roads
become very twisty and narrow but provide magnificent views.
The "Historic Covered Bridge" is located on Honey
Run Rd. along the way which is the only 3 story covered bridge
left standing.
Bring your camera to capture breathtaking sunrise and sunsets.
Lime
Saddle Marina
You
can find boating, swimming, skiing, kayaking, and hiking at
the Lime Saddle Marina. From Oroville head N. towards Paradise
(15 min.) and take the Pentz Rd. exit.
The
Chinese Temple
The Chinese Temple was Built
in 1863. The Temple is full of history and fun for the whole
family. The historic temple is listed on the National Historic
places as well as California land-marks. You can call ahead

Bald
Rock
While you are in Oroville if
you feel like climbing a rock, a big rock, then head on up Hwy162
N.towards Berry Creek. Take a right on Bald Rock Rd.
Continue
on for 1.2 miles, then turn left downhill into parking area.
It is a quarter mile hike to Bald Rock and once atop you will
experience spectacular views of the Sacramento Valley and coastal
mountain ranges.
Oroville
Dam
If you want to take a short tour
of the area, you can head out to Oroville on 99 South. Take
the CA 70 ramp towards Oroville/Marysville. Stay straight to
stay on Hwy 70. You can take the Mongomery St. exit and follow
the green line on the road which will take you to all the points
of interests including the working Fish Hatchery, Oroville Dam
(the largest dam in the USA) with slide shows, the Chinese Temple,
and the Oroville Visitor Center.

Gold
Nugget Museum
The
Gold Nugget Museum was incorporated in 1973. Our mission is
to preserve and protect The Ridge heritage through our collection
and artifacts and with community education programs. The Museum
gift shop is loaded with all kinds of really cool Paradise
souvenirs, along with many toys and gemstones for the kids.
The museum hours are noon - 4pm Wednesday - Sunday
